BIOGRAPHY

Bob Cushing is a singer/ songwriter from Cincinnati Ohio. He has earned his living playing 300 club dates a year for over 30 years. Bob has released 5 studio albums, as well as a double Live CD with long-time collaborator Chris Goins and a "Best of" CD.
 

Bob's true calling card however is his live solo acoustic shows.  He has opened for numerous international acts including Montgomery Gentry, 38 Special, Dream Theater, Blue Oyster Cult, Dave Mason,ELO, April Wine, Nazareth,The Guess Who, Rik Emmett {Triumph}  Survivor, Jason Bohnham, Artimus Pyle Band {Lynyrd Skynyrd} Lonnie Mack, Todd Snider, Shooting Star, Sponge, and Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band. He has played festivals with Buddy Guy, Pat Benetar, and Dr John. 

 

Bob has played the Time Warner Stage at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, opening for Eric Clapton, Roger Daltrey, John Fogerty, Santana, Steve Winwood, Neil Young, Jackson Browne, Crosby Stills and Nash, Steely Dan, B.B.King, Buddy Guy, Heart, Def Leppard, Steely Dan, Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd,Toby Keith, Peter Frampton, Brooks and Dunn, Eric Church, Jason Bonham, ZZ top, The Moody Blues,George Thorogood, REO Speedwagon, Chicago, Widespread Panic, Jimmy Buffett and Weird Al Yankovic.


He has played such regional events as Tallstacks, Midpoint Music Festival, Riverfest, Summerfair, A Day In Eden, and The Seasongood Pavilion Concert Series.

 

He has also played venues such as The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville and Blues City Cafe on Beale Street in Memphis TN.

 

Bob was voted best solo act and best open mic host by the readers of Cincy Vibe Magazine in 2011.
 

Bob was voted "Best Solo Artist 2009" by the Readers of Eastside Vibe Magazine.

 

In 2005 he was named as one of top 50 solo acts in the U.S by The Independent Artist Registry.
 

His original songs have appeared on T.V shows on VH-1, CMT, The Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, HGTV,WETV, KNBC, Time Warner Cable, the Velocity Channel and Animal Planet. He has also received extensive airplay on local and internet radio.

 

Bob's solo show incorporates his original songs with hundreds of Classic Rock and Country covers. He uses no setlist and every night is all-request night. Add to that his warped sense of humor, various stage props, and a natural flair for entertaining a crowd, and you have a great evening of entertainment!
